Finding Balance Through Creation
Software sales is my career, and I love it. But I've always believed in having a creative outlet outside of work. A space where I could use my brain differently.
A few years ago, I started learning jewelry design. It became a way to work with my hands, spend time with my daughters, and create something beautiful. When I wore my own pieces, friends and colleagues kept asking where they could buy them. What began as a personal creative outlet grew organically from there.
The Name: HOPE & RAYE
The name comes from my daughters' middle names.
Hope. Both of my daughters are IVF babies. After years of trying, we needed hope more than anything. That's why we chose it for one daughter's middle name.
Raye. A tribute to my grandfather, Raymond. Our other daughter's middle name.
My daughters inspired this business. Every piece from HOPE & RAYE carries a story of hope, perseverance, and family.
Why It Matters
Software sales is my career. It's where I excel and what I'm passionate about. But I believe everyone should have an outlet outside their job.
More importantly, I want my daughters to see this. I want them to understand that you should use your talents, even when you're learning, even when you're new at something, even when it's just you doing all the work.
Because you never know what could happen if you just try.

The Handcrafted Difference
When you order from HOPE & RAYE, I'm not pulling a pre-made piece from a warehouse shelf. I'm creating your jewelry specifically for you—selecting each gemstone, measuring each bead, and assembling every component by hand in my Georgia studio.
Mass-produced jewelry is made quickly, efficiently, and identically. Machines string beads. Factory workers follow templates. Quality control checks for "good enough."
Handcrafted jewelry is different.
Every piece I make gets my full attention. I inspect each gemstone for color, clarity, and character. I test every clasp. I ensure the drape and weight feel right. I examine the finished piece from every angle before it goes into its box.
That level of quality control simply doesn't exist in mass production. When you're making thousands of identical pieces on an assembly line, individual attention becomes impossible.
