Welcome to Hope and Raye! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website [www.hopeandraye.com] (the "Site") and any purchases made through our website or Etsy store ("Services"). By accessing our Site or making a purchase, you agree to these Terms.

1. General Terms

Hope and Raye is a small business specializing in handcrafted jewelry.
By using our Site or purchasing from us, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old or have parental consent.
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time, and your continued use of our Site constitutes acceptance of any changes.

2. Orders & Payments

We accept major credit/debit cards, PayPal, and other payment methods as listed at checkout.
Full payment is required before processing your order.
If an item is out of stock after you purchase it, we will notify you and issue a full refund.

3. Shipping & Delivery

Orders are processed within 5-10 business days and shipped via USPS.
Custom Pieces may take longer to ship- we will inform you on a case-by-case basis.
Delivery times vary based on location and shipping method selected at checkout.
We are not responsible for lost, stolen, or delayed packages once they are in transit. Please contact the shipping carrier for assistance.

4. Returns & Exchanges

We accept returns within 7 days of delivery for unworn, non-custom items in their original packaging.
Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item is defective.
To start a return, email us at care@hopeandraye.com with your order number and reason for return.

5. Custom Orders (Non-Returnable & Non-Refundable)

Custom orders are final sale and cannot be returned or refunded.
Please double-check all details before placing a custom order, as we begin production immediately after payment.
If there is an issue with your custom piece due to craftsmanship, please contact us at care@hopeandraye.com, and we will assess the situation.

6. Repairs Policy

Complimentary repairs are available within 30 days for craftsmanship defects (proof of purchase required).
Paid repairs are available for normal wear and tear (pricing determined case by case).
Customers are responsible for shipping items to us.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, including images, designs, and product descriptions, are the property of Hope and Raye.
You may not copy, distribute, or use our content without written permission.

8. Limitation of Liability

Hope and Raye is not responsible for any allergic reactions, improper use of our products, or damage caused after purchase.
We are not liable for indirect damages resulting from the use of our products or website.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Georgia, USA.
Any disputes will be handled in the courts of Georgia, USA..

When do I need to order for Christmas delivery? +

Order by December 15, 2025 for guaranteed Christmas delivery with standard shipping. Need it faster? We offer express shipping through UPS with tracking for a flat $20 fee. Order by December 20 and we'll rush your piece to arrive before Christmas. Email us at hello@hopeandraye.com to arrange express shipping.

Does the jewelry come gift wrapped? +

Yes! Every order automatically arrives beautifully gift-ready at no extra charge. Your jewelry comes in our signature blue velvet pouch with branding, nestled in a pull-out ribbon box with gold foil logo, wrapped with tissue paper and ribbon. We also include a polishing cloth. Want to add a personal message? You can include a custom note at checkout and we'll add it to a card for you. It's ready to give with no additional wrapping needed.

HOPE & RAYE is gold-filled, not gold-plated. What is the difference? +

Gold-filled jewelry (what we use) has a thick layer of real gold permanently bonded to a base metal through heat and pressure. It makes up at least 5% of the total weight and lasts for decades without tarnishing, fading, or turning your skin green. Gold-plated jewelry has only a microscopic coating of gold applied through electroplating that wears off quickly, usually within 6 to 12 months of regular wear. Gold-filled is much more durable, valuable, and hypoallergenic than gold-plated, which is why we only use 14K and 18K gold-filled materials in our handcrafted pieces.

Are HOPE & RAYE's gemstones real or synthetic? +

All HOPE & RAYE's gemstones are 100% genuine, natural semi-precious gemstones, meaning they formed in the earth over millions of years. We never use synthetic or lab-created stones unless specifically noted in the product description. Some of our gemstones are rare and only found in certain portions of the world, like Peru and Ethiopia. Each stone is hand-picked by our designer from ethically sourced vendors that the owner personally selects. Every natural gemstone has unique variations in color, pattern, and clarity, making your jewelry truly one-of-a-kind. Your piece will look very similar to what you see online, but each stone's natural beauty makes it slightly different. That's what makes it special.

How long does it take to receive my HOPE & RAYE order? +

Please allow 5 to 7 business days for handcrafting your piece in our Atlanta studio (Monday through Friday, and Saturdays during the holiday season). Once your jewelry is complete, you'll receive an email notification with tracking information. After it ships, delivery typically takes 1 to 3 business days depending on your location. Shipping is currently available to US addresses only. For international inquiries, please contact us at hello@hopeandraye.com. For the holiday season, we're working extended hours to get your gifts to you on time!

Does HOPE & RAYE have sterling silver pieces? +

Yes! In addition to our 14K and 18K gold-filled jewelry, we also create beautiful pieces in sterling silver. All our sterling silver jewelry is high-quality, tarnish-resistant, hypoallergenic, and nickel-free, making it perfect for sensitive skin and everyday wear.

Are HOPE & RAYE's pieces hypoallergenic? +

Our 14K and 18K gold-filled jewelry and sterling silver pieces are ideal for sensitive skin. Both materials are hypoallergenic and nickel-free, which means they won't cause irritation, redness, or allergic reactions. We avoid cheap base metals and nickel alloys that commonly trigger skin sensitivities. If you have metal allergies, our gold-filled and sterling silver pieces are safe for daily wear and won't turn your skin green.

How do I request a personalized charm necklace from HOPE & RAYE? +

We create personalized charm necklaces with initials and custom charms! Please visit our Custom Orders page to submit your request and share your vision. Our team will work with you to create a one-of-a-kind piece that's uniquely yours.
